Skills4Pharmacy is currently the UK’s leading provider of Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy apprenticeship training*. Skills4Pharmacy has now provided over £1 million in levy transfer funding to pharmacies across England. This significant investment reinforces Skills4Pharmacy’s dedication to strengthening the pharmacy sector and empowering local businesses to succeed.
Skills4Pharmacy offers support to all pharmacies. This means both non-levy paying employers and those who have exhausted their levy funds can access crucial financial assistance to fully fund apprenticeship training costs to help upskill their workforce.
Apprenticeship levy
The apprenticeship levy is a 0.5% tax on the annual payroll of UK employers with a payroll exceeding £3 million. The funds are used to support apprenticeships.
Skills4Pharmacy works with large employers paying the apprenticeship levy who have the option to transfer up to 50% of their annual levy funds to other businesses, supporting pharmacy apprenticeship training and assessment.
Struggling market
“Rising costs, funding cuts, drug shortages, and patient frustrations are challenges every pharmacy contractor faces, I understand these struggles firsthand. That’s why I founded Skills4Pharmacy: to bridge the skills gap through pharmacy apprenticeships. And through our partnerships, we’re able to secure funding to make apprenticeships affordable for businesses like yours,” says Amerjit Singh, Managing Director at Skills4Pharmacy.
