Learner welfare support is designed to ensure that you have the resources and assistance you need to succeed both personally and professionally throughout the programme of study.

This support aims to address challenges learners may face, such as balancing work, study, and personal life, and to provide guidance on mental health, career development, and wellbeing.

At Skills4, we are proud to offer thorough support, including:

  • Mentoring and Coaching

Apprentices often have access to a mentor or coach who provides guidance, advice, and support throughout their learner journey. This support can help learners navigate their role, manage work expectations, and offer encouragement.

  • Access to Additional Learning Needs and Wellbeing Services

We actively work with external specialist services where our learners have access to the required support with highly qualified workers. These are trained staff which are monitored to deliver tailored support to learners with additional learning needs such as:

    • Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs)

    • AD(H)D

    • Autism

    • Mental Health Conditions e.g. Stress, Anxiety, OCD

  • Support for Apprentices with Learning Difficulties

Apprentices with special educational needs or learning difficulties may receive 1:1 additional support from their tutor, adapted learning materials, extra time for assessments etc.

  • Flexible Learning Options

Some apprenticeship programs offer flexible learning arrangements to help learners in need balance work, study, and personal life. This can include flexible assessments, or if possible adjusted schedules if needed to support individual needs.

We have an assigned email address to raise any concerns for welfare and safeguarding that only the designated safeguarding team has access to.
